Dr. Green, John - Manager of the Climate Change Strategy Unit at IT Power, has worked in the Renewable Energy field for over 12 years, having completed his PhD focusing on Renewable Energy in developing countries. He has managed a wide range of projects funded by UN organisations, the EC and the World Bank, and is author of several publications on Renewable Energy and energy policy. Over the last year, he has worked on many Clean Development Mechanism projects, including designing a US$ 1.3 million CDM capacity building programme for industry in China, developing a baseline study for a 30MW wind farm in Inner Mongolia, and on several projects investigating the opportunities for bundling small-scale projects under the CDM.

Mr. Bhardwaj, Nishant - Manager of the Climate Change Group of IT Power India, has over 8 years of experience in environment management, climate change and specializes in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). He has worked on various capacity building projects in India which include CDM prospects for coal bed methane sector in India, mainstreaming CDM opportunities in the Indian Finance and Insurance sector, establishing  institutional capacity building for small scale CDM projects in India, and CDM Opportunities in Biomethanation Master Plan of India.  Nishant is involved as a key professional in CDM methodology development and projects documentation. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He also holds Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Sciences from University of Delhi. Prior to the employment with IT Power India, Nishant was working as an Environmental Scientist with Development Alternatives (a research and consultancy organisation). As a consultant, Nishant has contributed to assignments for international and national agencies such as the EC, World Bank, UNDP, UNEP, SDC, FCO, Defra, MOEF, and MNES.

Mr. Christiaan Vrolijk - Senior Energy Specialist in the Climate Change Strategy Unit at IT Power, has worked on international climate change and related issues for over seven years. He has focused on the Kyoto mechanisms and the role of, and impact on, the electricity sector, with hands-on market experience of emissions and certificates trading. He has managed a wide range of projects funded by public and private sector organisations, including the EC and the World Bank. Over the last few years, he has worked on analysing and developing many CDM and JI projects, including on baseline methodologies and project design documents, and bringing them to market. These projects utilised a wide range of emission reduction technologies such as Renewable Energy and methane capture and utilisation projects. Christiaan is author of many publications on emissions trading in particular and climate change policy in general. Previously he worked for Natsource Tullett Europe, the global emissions brokers, and the Royal Institute of International Affairs, an independent policy think tank. Christiaan received his Masters in Science and Policy from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, after completing his thesis on the role of the electricity grid in the liberalising power sector at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Netherlands.

Mr. Subbarao, Srikanth - has more than 7 years experience in the field of Renewable Energy and climate change. As a consultant and expert, Subbarao has carried out and contributed to various international assignments for institutional and private clients in Renewable Energy, climate change and environmental management sectors. He has contributed extensively to Renewable Energy and climate change sector which includes uptake and commercial sustainability of hydro energy resources in Indian Himalayas, development of a Renewable Energy and ICT based community development programme in Sri Lanka, development of a project brief on Renewable Energy based min-grids for electricity generation in Zambia, development of an international Renewable Energy project for the Union Territory of Pondicherry for International Assistance, CDM perspective for biomethanation master plan for India, mid-term review of India’s initial national communication to the UNFCCC and institutional capacity building activities to enable small scale CDM projects in India. He has vast experience in handling rural community projects especially in hydro, biomass and waste to energy sectors. He has been involved in R&D related to biomethanation and gasification systems, using a wide range of domestic and industrial wastes, biomass, including agro-residues. He has practical experience in the design and implementation of pico and micro hydro power plants. He is also skilled in the installation and commissioning aspects of small independent gasification power plants for thermal and electrical applications. He has participated in and contributed to various national and international seminars and conferences on sustainable development and millennium development goals.
